The Moonlight Hotel for Kitties has sparked many conversations about the moon. Children and adults alike have a fascination about the moon, stars, and of course rainbows. We decided to bring a little of the ‘Moon” to the classroom. The tactile table is always a favorite place in our classroom for curious girls and it if forever changing. What a great place to have a little moon dough to explore. The girls were very helpful and waited patiently for their turn. They have had such an amazing time using their senses to explore and through this experience continue to develop strong observational skills.
Reflection: The girls learn through their five senses. The senses of touch, sight, smell, taste and hearing are how young children explore the world around them. It is my hope that we can continue to help them explore and create.
