Fall is the perfect time of year to observe the changes we see in our surroundings in relation to knowledge and methods about cycles. The girls expanded their knowledge and abilities to observe, describe, and discuss living things and natural processes. They began to use one or more senses while making observations and made predictions based on prior knowledge offering explanations in their own words. There observations were captured through pictures, discussions, drawings and writing. Looking at their treasures was the most fun of all!!!
The girl’s excitement is contagious as we find ourselves also looking for changes that have occurred as fall appears. They continue to develop an understanding of life cycles and are becoming aware that we use our five senses to explore our environment. Each observation made expands knowledge of and abilities to describe and discuss the natural world, materials, living things and natural processes.
