Be glad your nose is on your face, not pasted on some other place,
for if it were where it is not, you might dislike your nose a lot.
Your nose, instead, through thick and thin, remains between your eyes and chin,
not pasted on some other place - be glad your nose is on your face!
- Jack Prelutsky
We have had fun making LOTS of different types of faces out of LOTS of different things. Did you know that seashells could be eyes or ears? Have you ever seen grass for hair?
A pinecone makes a great nose!
We also got in some MATH talking about faces! We made a graph of our eye color and hair color. Lots of good math words in a graph - more, less, most, least, same, different, bigger, smaller. And a little geometry with a personalized face puzzle - spatial reasoning, cognitive skills, and problem solving.
Tell me what you LOVE about your face!
