One of the wonderful things about our campus is the BEE-utiful farm that we have right outside our window! We got to visit the farm this week and meet Mrs. Riddle, our very nice and smart horticulturist! We saw flowers, cotton, and okra! We smelled lemon basil and mint leaves! AND we planted CARROTS! Orange carrots and PURPLE carrots! The girls were so excited! It will be a fun to watch the carrots grow! We'll be checking on them and patiently waiting for harvest time!
Listen in on some of our "farm conversation":
How do I plant the seed?
This is so fun!
Where are the carrots?
I see a bee!
Can I take it with me?
There's a spider!
I found a worm in the dirt!
You put seeds in the dirt and they need water to grow!
The seed is so tiny.
These little farmers are VERY BUSY making connections to the world around us...the world right outside our window!
They are having fun exploring and it is really fun for me to be a part of it!
