Picking carrots and eating and cooking with them gave the girls LOTS of opportunities to journal and draw about the things they experienced during the whole process.
What do you see when you closely observe a carrot?
Reflection: I am thrilled to see how the simple project of planting and picking carrots provided so many learning activities for these little farmers. They really were engaged in the whole process and I am sure that being so involved from beginning to end was the main reason for that. I am excited to continue this little "root veggie" project with Mrs. Riddle. We will be planting some other really cool things at the farm in the next few weeks. Stay tuned!
