The first day of fall was on Thursday, September 22nd. Really! That long ago! We are chuckling with the girls about wearing shorts and sleeveless dresses in the beginning of November! Will it ever get cooler? Will the leaves ever change colors? They ARE starting to fall on our campus, but it's still pretty hot! In hopes of cooler temps and the fact that Thanksgiving is just around the corner, we are jumping into fall activities no matter what it feels like outside!
The girls painted pumpkins, created pumpkin collages, twisted paper for pumpkin vines, made silly faces on pumpkins at the play dough table, and even illustrated their own book about how pumpkins grow. And OH! By the way...the pumpkin seeds? There were 495! Mrs. Clanton counted each and every one!
The girls experimented with different mediums to create fall trees, explored with 3-dimensional shapes to create fall pictures, and practiced their sewing skills on fall images.
