We have had a wonderful Christmas season in our class. We have enjoyed talking about Santa and what we want him to bring them. We have been cooking gingerbread girls and making gingerbread girls along with reading the many different versions of the book. We have talked about whose birthday it is and what we can do for others. We are trying to learn that it is better to give to others than to get lots of things for ourselves. We thanked our lunchroom helpers with gingerbread girls when we went to lunch one day and we made beaded candy canes to share with our JK neighbors. We made cereal bird feeders to hang on the tree on our playground for the birds to eat. We had more fun each day. Here are some pictures of our activities.
Here is a slide show of us during this holiday season. We love your girls and hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and we will look forward to seeing you in 2020. Thank you for all the gifts and thoughts that you and your family has shared with us during this season.
We hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving and we were so glad to see all our girls back. Grandparent's Day was a success and it was nice to see everyone and thanks for sharing your granddaughters with us.
We are beginning to get ready for Christmas in our class and needless to say the girls are so excited. Through our holiday oriented centers, the girls are learning so much academically, physically, as well as socially. Here are some pictures of our activities.
Decorating the tree was more fun.
We even used scoops in movement to scoop snow.
In Chinese the girls are learning winter words such as hat, scarf and mittens and acting out how to put them on.
The girls are sponge painting their candy canes.
We are working on number and letter recognition, writing our names, patterning, counting to 30 and creating our own art work. Enjoy your holiday season with your daughter.
So thankful for our grandparents!
