We have had the most fun learning about dots and making our mark. All of our activities have encouraged our girls to have self confidence and to be creative in all their work and play. We have developed an appreciation for others and have respect and compassion for our classmates.
Our center work has helped us develop many skills. We were able to express our ideas and make decisions about our own work. Other skills we used in our centers were:
fine motor skills
number and letter recognition
1 to 1 correspondence
classifying and sorting objects
These pictures are examples of what we have been doing in our class during the Dot Day study. Hope you enjoy them as much as we did with them. Have a great weekend with your daughter!
We have had so much fun learning about shapes, straight lines, curved lines and letters the past few days. We also are beginning to learn about dots in anticipation of National Dot Day on September 17. The girls are learning what they can create with just one dot. Here are some pictures of our centers and what we learn while we are working in them.
