We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday break! We were very excited to see the girls this week and continue our Pre-K themes and skills. We look forward to our winter activities, including our observation of seasonal change. Our tree will take on a winter look as we work on snowmen and other winter related centers and exploration during the next few weeks. We will also incorporate a study of how we travel from place to place on land, water, and the air. The signs we see all around us and the importance they play in our every day lives will also be a part of this study. The skills we continue to work on this quarter are one to one correspondence of numbers 6-10, three part patterns, number recognition, fine motor, and sequencing an activity in order from beginning to end. Literacy, including journals, creative storytelling, and letter recognition will also be emphasized. in more depth this second semester. The girls have come in "ready to go" and we are excited about all the enthusiasm they are exhibiting. As we get started, please enjoy seeing some pictures of our centers and activities for this week.
