The girls continue to do for others and we feel that they have a good understanding of "it is better to give than receive"! The ladies in the lunchroom were so touched by their excitement of sharing the cookies they had made and decorated. They made the girls feel very special for thinking of them in such a special way. Our peppermint candy experiment was so fun to watch as the candy canes started changing in an instant when we put them in warm and cold water, vinegar, and cooking oil. "Look Mrs. Allen, they are turning the water red", "I think they will melt", "They might make rainbow colors", "They will loose their stripes" were some of the observations the girls made as we did the experiment. The containers are sitting on a shelf where the girls can continue to observe the changes. We also made some two part pattern candy canes with beads and pipe cleaners and took these to Mrs. Rounder"s JK class to share as another activity of "gifting" to others and.Mrs. Jordan read some fun Christmas stories by the Christmas tree in our pajamas! Our program and party were perfect and the girls did a great job learning and singing so many wonderful songs. Our party was a perfect celebration of the last few weeks and we appreciate the moms that participated.
As we end our first semester we thank each family for their support. We wish each of you the happiest of holidays and we only have one request. This magical time for three and four year olds passes so quickly, so enjoy every second with your sweet girls. We look forward to seeing everyone in January;rest, relax, and MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!
