We have had lots of fun exploring shapes! The girls are recognizing "shapes all around us" in every way. Our art display in the hall summarizes all the shapes we discussed using the different media mentioned last week. It is a wonderful overview of all the girls hard work and we are very proud of the display. Drawing and recognizing many kinds of lines is also a process to encourage drawing and fine motor skills. Our line journals teach us many ways to draw lines while our writing journals work with name and letter formation while illustrating something we are "thinking" about. They will also grow the process where the girls are writing about their pictures and hearing some initial and ending sounds. Name recognition and recognizing friend's names continues to get better and better, and a few can write their names at this time!
This week we will be learning about color, investigating primary and secondary colors, and include a study of the girls' favorite.......RAINBOWS! We will be constructing our very own color wheel as a class project. As always, we love working with each girl and are excited to see their continued enthusiasm each and every day!
