It has been a great year in our class. The girls are wonderful, the parents have been great and the girls are ready for JK. Hope you have a great summer and I will see some of you at camp and the others next August.
We had a great end of the year party in PK. Thank you to all the moms, dads and grandmoms that came. We shared our year's work in a portfolio that the girls had made and were so eager to share with their family. Our class video was a moving picture of the year that brought some of us to tears and the girls loved it. Even though it was hot we all enjoyed picnicking on the the playground and wearing our sunglasses and blowing bubbles. It has been a great year for us with your girls. It has been a special class and we have appreciated all the support we have received from the parents this year .
We have talked about many cycles of living things these past few weeks. While talking about the cycles of plant growth, lady bugs, and butterflies, we have had the wonderful support of great stories through author Eric Carle. :"The Tiny Seed", "The Grouchy Ladybug", and "The very Hungry Caterpillar" have brought to life the life cycles of all these things. The girls have done some tissue paper art much in the same style of Eric Carle, planted seeds, and, this past week, enjoyed many centers and activities about the life cycle of butterflies. We have also read many other Eric Carle books for enjoyment. This week we are busy preparing something very special for our moms who mean the world to us!! Enjoy the pictures.
