Each week that goes by brings new, fun activities for the girls and we just love their excitement for all that we do! This week, the fifth grade girls wanted to share many fun things they had planned for our class. As part of their curriculum, the girls are asked to plan a special time for interacting with the younger students. These "Student Directed Activities" are a total responsibility of a small group of girls who plan, gather materials, and execute a planned session of fun, games, crafts, snacks and just "taking care" of our little girls. Independent of teacher direction, the Middle School girls follow a format to create creativity and responsibility for following through with this project. Our girls had a great time with the "big girls", and we thought the fifth graders exhibited strong organizational skills in their planning of this time with our class. We love to support cross division activities whenever possible in order to create a "Hutchison Family Feeling" throughout our campus. We also have included skills we continue to work on and some really great pictures from our EC picnic last Thursday. For those that could attend, we loved sharing this fun event with our families. Please enjoy these pictures of the girls working Very Hard and a slide show of them also playing Very Hard at the school picnic!
As we end this quarter, it is with gratitude that we have been able to teach each little girl this quarter. We wish each family a happy and restful Fall Break as we look forward to our next quarter with these sweet girls.
