"You can't catch me I"m the Gingerbread Man"! As we continue our celebration of Christmas and this wonderful time of year, the girls have loved also relating this time of year to our five senses. This week, we have read different versions of the Gingerbread Man and had lots of fun comparing how each story takes place in different settings and how each version ends diferently. The fox doesn't always get to eat the Gingerbread Man! We worked on gingerbread patterns made into crowns, made gingerbread men that are hanging in our classroom, and tasted a delicious gingerbread cookie! We created a "Sense Girl" in the hall that displays our own eyes, ears, mouths, hands, and noses. We used instruments to hear different sounds and have love looking at our class Christmas tree and "seeing" all the beautiful ornaments. Our senses really do tell us about our world and the girls have made great connections through this study.
We are using our sense of smell.
We are using our fingers to touch.
We are using our eyes to see our Christmas tree.
We are listening for sounds.
We tasted gingerbread cookies.
