If your three or four and it is Christmas, it is the most special time of the year!! Our Christmas party this week was so much fun and making reindeer food, pinning the red nose on Rudolph, and eating a delicious donut with sprinkles just could not have started our day any better! Then, the third grade girls came in to visit and play with us for a little while and the girls love doing some activities and reading with them. While the girls are excited about Santa, presents, Christmas parties and gatherings and all the excitement Christmas brings, we have also talked about that giving and doing for others is also a very special part of Christmas too. We decided that we would decorate and bake some cookies for the special ladies in the dining hall that provide us with a wonderful lunch each and every day, and are there to help us in anyway they can. Even at this young age, we feel that doing for others is a life lesson that can never be taught to early. It is more blessed to give than receive and we all love the warm feeling we get when doing for others.
As we end our first semester, we thank you for sharing these sweet girls with us each day. They have been our "gifts" these first months of school and it has been our joy to teach and know each girl, We wish each and every family a blessed and wonderful holiday. Enjoy this time with your daughters for it passes way to quickly.
Merry Christmas to all! Fondly, Jane and Sandra
