The girls are so excited about all of our Valentine activities! They have been so busy making valentine cards for their friends in the card center, finding their friend's names, decorating and creating a card for a friend and then delivering the card to their cubbie. They have been engaged in decorating their own valentine bags to give and receive valentines on Thursday after the Valentines party. They have made heart bracelets while creating a three part pattern. There have been lots of new puzzles put on the shelves about family and the many things families share and do together. Finally, we continue to work with rhyming as part of our phonics program, one to one correspondence of numbers 1-10 and recognition of the letter "V' as we decorated the letter "V' using tissue paper for Valentines day. Story Workshop is ongoing and the girls are creating wonderful stories using their creativity, imagination and thinking skills.

Our Valentine party was a great success. We iced heart cookies, played alphabet bingo with candy hearts and were mail girls to deliver our Valentine. Enjoy the pictures of the girls at work and the slide show of our party..
Happy Valentines's Day and extra hugs and kisses to our sweet girls!
