We are so glad to see our girls and missed them over the holiday! We thank each family that rememberd us with the sweet gifts and cards at this very special time of year. The girls have come back ready to see their friends and begin this new semester of Pre-k. We are having many conversations about winter, animals that live in the very cold areas of the world, and the many ways we travel from place to place. The dramatic play is our very own bus station wher we "purchase" tickets to ride the bus and read a book or two along the way! We are seeing the girls ready to learn and happy to be back "home".
Skills worked on and introduced this week are:
-Fine motor/journal writing/writing and practice with writing individual letters, drawing and painting snowmen/creating snowmen with playdough,"hammering nails"at the mirror table, cutting center/puzzles and felt board activity,"Doodle Pads"(free drawing)
-Creativity/block building/"The Bus" in dramatic play
-Math/one to one correspondence of numbers six through ten/introducing three part patterns, number recognition one through ten

"Yes, because we are all friends".

"She wants us to go to the pool".
"Now, everyone line up for the swimning lessons".
